Having recently had an issue with photo slideshows not displaying correctly (see under FAQ index 'photos and images'), I discovered that they display properly when using Firefox browser, but not Safari. Now I have discovered that my website blog 'comments' boxes - which display in Safari, do not appear at all when using Firefox.
I contacted HostExcellence, who suggested I ask my 'comments' facilitator - IntenseDebate - for help, or use their own HE web design service (not included in their hosting package). Since this would undermine the whole rational of using iWeb, I am continuing to try and resolve problems through IntenseDebate, including one experienced by other FAQ readers: namely, that of comments appearing differently when using the website url with or without the 'www' prefix. On that score, I am on the point of following your advice, Cedric, of asking HE to modify the HT access? I have made repeated requests to ID, and have received no help.
I am finding that IntenseDebate, while offering a free and fairly good comments tool, are extremely poor in support, and rarely (only once so far) reply to my queries or offer any help. Having 'comments' will not be much use if they cannot reliably display in different browsers, or vary according to the website url. Would you suggest another (more reliable) way of putting 'comments' onto my iWeb site, or should I persevere with ID.
Thanks for this, and your advice re redirecting to my new website address, which is now in place.
