I followed the steps posted to get my iweb site on google searches...and got stuck when i tried to download the un-compressed XML Sitemap at http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/

however at step 6 - my page just kept showing up as a blank page.

I dont know what to do? Any help?

Please upload the sitemap.xml file to your server or iDisk/web/sites folder and give me the url of it.

It's pretty hard to help if I can't see it myself.

Im very new at all this...so im confused as to how to do that in iweb when theres no html.

do i just add another "page" and upload this blank xml file to that page in my website?

and im not sure what 'iDisk/web/sites folder' is or where to find it....

plus my website is up and running - and i dont want to delete anything accidently

Are you publishing to MobileMe? I guess you are...

On your Mac go to Finder menu (displaying at the top) and select "Go" then choose iDisk and then My iDisk
or hit Schift+Command(Apple)+i

Then you will see a window with a lot of folders on your screen (your iDisk). Open the folder called "Web" and then open the folder called "Sites". Drop your sitemap.xml file into the "Sites" folder.
Where you will see a file called index.html and a folder named with your website's name.
(Note that this is different from iDisk/Sites/ folder)

The url of your sitemap will then be
http://web.me.com/username/sitemap.xml
or
http://yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml
if you have a personal domain.

If you're not publishing to MobileMe upload it how you always upload your website.

Note: you don't need to do anything in iWeb!
