I have just recently started my website and love the ease of iWeb. I've also just recently moved to Rome for 4 months for school. I am using ipage.com as my host with a personal domain and everything was working wonderfully back at home. When I got to school and connected to the internet, I updated some pages, my main contact to family and friends, and went to publish directly from iWeb and got an error message saying that a connection cannot be established.

Is there something I need to change now that I am using my computer internationally to make this work? I'm in contact with iPage support and also seeking help in the Apple communities seeing if we can fix the problem but am now just wondering if it's not the internet but the fact that my computer is being used internationally. Thank you in advance for any advice/help/suggestions!

Hi,

whether you connect to a server from the US or Europe or anywhere else on the world shouldn't matter. Try to re-enter all the FTP info.

Regards,
Cédric

I tried that with no luck. At home I didn't need to input anything in the "Directory/Path" could that have changed? Or could the Port number possibly be different? I'm very new to all of this so I don't know nearly as much as I would like to know.

The support techs at iPage had me run a trace route, what exactly does this do or show? I'm following their directions but there is no real explanation as to what I'm looking for or at.
