Hi Cédric...
i'm struggling here... i don't where to post this... so i try in this section. sorry if this is not the right section.
if you have ritten a way in your ebook, then i will go there and read it... but i can't figure it out.

Problem:

i want to include an internet shop in iweb. i know you do it with paypal.. i would do the same if we had not so many prdoucts...
and there will come a lot more!

check out:

www.mykite.ch
then go on shop.

you will see that the shop (i know its horrible-i work on a new one but for the moment its this one). is under the main menu. included with an iframe. i had to define the hight of the frame. if the shop now displays under the size i defined... then all is fine. but as soon as the shop has to display some producs, then the list gets longer, which results in a scrollbar on the side of the iframe. so this will result in a double scrollbar: one at the side of the iframe. one from the browser. will it be possible that this results in dynamic adaption? that the page gets longer when it needs and i only have to scroll the browser? not both?
hope you understand....

thanks

best regards

phil.

Hi Phil,

that's not possible for two reasons: first you have to specify a height in the iFrame code, second iWeb works with fixed heights for the pages which means that once the pages are published they do not adapt to the content anymore if the content changes.

Possible solutions:

- Have the Shop opening in a new window from the menu
- Redirect to the shop

Since I guess you have no control over the source code of the shop you're using you would of course lose the website appearance on it. If you do have access to the source code of the shop you may want to add the slideshow and the menu to its header to have it look similar

It's not like I login to the PayPal site to products. I'm using a WordPress plugin which allows me to manage everything from within my WordPress administration panel. The good thing is that this way I have also control over the appearance of the shop and could have it looking similar to the site.

Regards,
Cédric
