iWeb created sites cannot zoom text?

I've searched and searched and cannot find a solution. Can somebody please provide some insight to this problem? When I "zoom" on any of my created web pages, only the graphics, and NOT the text zoom in.

The only solution I know is to create image files for all the text, but then I lose all SEO.

I'm referring to "scalable text"

if anyone can provide some insight i would greatly appreciate it.

As far as I know it doesn't work because iWeb works with fixed page length.

If the size of the text increases there's less space for text on a line which means more lined are needed hence the page length has to increase. Doesn't work in iWeb.

Since iWeb can export to HTML which can be edited, shouldn't there be a way to alter the code to eliminate the "fixed page length" problem (MassReplaceIt perhaps?)

I am trying to design a website for a local sushi Restaurant, so I need text content (not images) for SEO. Is it only the fixed page length issue that causes this (and does this apply to all web browsers)?

I really need to solve this issue otherwise I am stuck with the problem of poor visibility for many customers (text scaling issue) or all the text will be converted to images (larger file size and terrible SEO)

I am grateful for the assistance.

Hi. Thanks for a great site!

I have an easy solution to the zooming problem that appears to work.

Once you put a drop shadow on text iWeb then treats it like a graphic, and it zooms appropriately. So why not just drop shadow ALL your text? You can always set the parameters for drop shadow in the inspector to 0 so the shadows are invisible on the texts where you don't want them.

That seems to work for me. Let me know please if this creates any problems that I'm missing.

Turning text into an image could 'cause Google to rank your website lower since the text content is no longer text content per se but a description (alt tag) of an image.
