I designed a site using iWeb09 with many "my photos" pages. The images show fine when I publish to a folder, and also when I publish to my old hosting site (though they don't support UTC-8, but that's another problem). When I publish to godaddy's preview site (http://www.artistsworkshopgallery.com.preview.dns) none of the images in albums display. Other images separately on a page do display. All of the images needed for the albums are there on the host; the album pages just don't seem to find them. I've deleted all uploaded files and fully republished, but that doesn't change anything.

Any ideas? I'm concerned that the apple and godaddy folks will point at each other. Is there some program needed on the host to enable these albums that may not be there?

Make sure you uploaded the Media and the Scripts folder as well.

If you did upload those folders too. Try uploading it to the real server instead of the preview one.

Greetings,
Cédric

Cedric, thanks for responding. The media and scripts folders are indeed on the server. I can see that the images are there; they're just not being pulled into any of my album pages.

I assumed that godaddy's preview service did put your files on the actual server you'll be using, but without the website url pointing to it, hence their "phony" url ending in previewdns.com. To upload my files, I used the IP address of the server that they listed on my hosting management page, so I assumed there is only one server involved. Do you have reason to believe that this preview business actually works differently than I think in godaddy, or that anything would work differently once my nameservers point to this godaddy server? I hate to just do that as an experiment, as it will take things off the air for awhile... maybe as much as 24 hours, I'm told.

Thanks.

Jim.

I never used GoDaddy and don't know how it works but I know that usually iWeb PhotoGalleries have no problem on GoDaddy servers and since I can't see any other reason why I doesn't work I guess it is because of the preview.

Cedric, all did indeed work once I actually transferred the site and dropped the previewdns stuff. I suggest that people using iWeb NOT use this preview service from godaddy.com. Obviously there is some sort of conflict. Thanks for your advice.

Jim
