first of all, thanks for great posts. Your inputs were of great value when I built my website abt a year ago. (www.losinj-apartments.com)

It seems that code on my website is very complex due to the "busy" template, frequent adding/deleting boxes, widgets, etc, - Google ranking is not as high as I hoped (even with iWeb SEO tool).


1. I will create (or better say) recreate this same website in a simpler template -- "create new site" in iWeb
2. I need to move hosting from mobile.me to Bluehost.com
3. By doing these two actions, I would like to keep my current Google ranking (obviously over the year google robots scanned through the website several times and know that I exist. If I make completely new site I am afraid I have to start from scratch)


What it is the best approach to accomplish my objective?

Hi Dragan,

the most important thing is to keep the same URL for your pages

http://yourdomain.com/sitename/pagename.html
http://www.losinj-apartments.com/Apartm ... lcome.html

for what concerns rebuilding the site that means you should keep the same sitename in iWeb and the same pagenames.

For what concerns moving the site from MobileMe to Bluehost I see no problem. Pages will be reachable under the same URL as before. No need to start from scratch for what concerns Google and you keep the traffic coming from Google by keeping the same URL.
