Hi,
using the code I provide in my E-Book with ALternative HTML the page doesn't go blank to me. So for me it works, sorry.
<script>function fbs_click() {u=location.href;t=document.title;window.open('http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php?u='+encodeURIComponent(u)+'&t='+encodeURIComponent(t),'sharer','toolbar=0,status=0,width=626,height=436');return false;}</script><a href="http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=<url>" onclick="return fbs_click()" target="_blank"><img src="http://eileencooleyphd.com/media/fbshare1.jpeg" style="width:57px; height:18px;"></a>
To me it was going blank when using the code which was provided by Facebook itself which however I can't find anymore and it looks like Facebook eliminated when they introduced the LIke button.
You could use an HTML Snippet with
<a href="http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php?u=
http://eileencooleyphd.com/e1/Childrens_Book.html" target="blank"><img src="http://eileencooleyphd.com/media/fbshare1.jpeg" style="width:57px; height:18px;"></a>
The issue with the thumbnail and description not being picked up by Facebook in iWeb created websites has already been pointed out more than six months ago as you can see on my Facebook page
http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=2 ... opic=16992 and so far neither me nor anyone else seems to have found a solution to the problem (as far as I know).
Regards,
Cédric
