I've been trying to install an XSPF player but...
The player box says "Loading..." and "Undefined".
Here's where I have it parked temporarily while I work on it:

I have learned so much from iwebfaq, as have so many others, so please excuse the caps lock when I say THANK YOU CÉDRIC!!

Hi,

when you download the source code of the XSPF player from my website you get a folder called XSPFSource

In that folder there is a file called playlist.xspf used for the playlist and where you have to enter the info about the songs to play in the player as per instructions on my website.

Looking at your website the result is that the playlist.xspf file is missing:

http://www.bonnymorgan.com/XSPFSource/playlist.xspf

results in page not found. Perhaps you didn't upload it.

Regards,
Cédric

Hmm, that's odd.
I've re-uploaded playlist.xspf several times already, after replacing all file name spaces with underscores and putting a proper carriage return where the squares displayed in Notepad.
I'm editing and uploading on a pc (can't seem to book any time on the mac).
Here's a pic of my ftp upload, the playlist file is there...
Thank you,
smorg

Indeed it looks like it's there.

The only thing I can think of is that it could be a problem of permissions which don't allow the code to access the file and to see it from a browser. I'm pretty sure it is.
You should try to change the permissions to 755 (I know how it's in Cyberduck on Mac but have no clue about Windows)

Very clever!
I'll get on the mac later and give it a try.
How do I do it in cyberduck?
Thanks!

1. Open Cyberduck and select the files of interest (playlist.xspf) on your server and hit command (cmd or apple) + i or right-click (ctrl+click) and choose Info
2. Go to Permissions, check the “Apply changes recursively” box, type 755 in the Octal Notation field
3. Hit the enter key (↩). Now Cyberduck will change permissions of the files.

Hi Cédric,
Thank you for your help so far, I'm sorry to ask for your further assistance.
I followed your direction for playlist.xspf, but unfortunately there is no improvement.
When I reopen the Info screen the Octal Notation reads "Unknown" again.
I also tried selecting all four xspf files together and following the direction.
Again no changes.
Any other thoughts, please?
Thank you very much,
smorg
