I am working on a website, and I was wondering if one can create a drop down menu for existing buttons. I looked over the directions for adding drop down menus for iWeb but wondered how difficult it would be to connect them to the buttons that I am already using in my menu bar.

Here is my draft site: http://web.me.com/toesproductions/AFW/Home.html

Thank you for any advice or help you maybe able to provide.

The easiest would be to create the drop down menu as per instructions provided on my website and then replace the graphics for the menu with your own graphics. Otherwise there is a lot of hand coding involved and you would have to find out on your own how it works by looking at the source code of a drop down menu.

Regards,
Cédric

Thank you for your quick reply. One other question--in a drop down menu, is each option in the menu a separate graphic? For example, if the drop down menu reads like this:

Contact Us
Location
Hours

Are each of these parts of the drop down (location, hours) built to be separate graphics in the code? Meaning I would make equal sized graphics for each of them and replace the graphics you already built in the code?

I am a total novice with very little html experience, so I am just trying to understand how code works. Thanks again for your help.

No graphics are the same what changes is the text displayed over them. The reason for that is a much faster loading time. This way the graphics have to be loaded only once for all. If each choice would have its own graphic loading times would increase.
