Hello there,
In advance thanks for any help you can provide on this subject.
The site I am working on is acting weird after finally being able to upload it to the server. The problems are these:

1. All the anchors I created are reloading the page, and I see some of them are screwing with the style of the content of the site.
2. Every time I click on a link that takes me to an anchor, it takes me to the right page, but the wrong part of the page. I checked my anchors in iweb, and they're placed correctly. This takes me lower or upper from the anchor I had placed, and also the text in the page where the anchors are seems to have the text styling wrong. Titles are changed to normal text when they should be in another font and/or color.

3. Other weird thing is that for some reason when I click on the "common questions" tab and click on the anchors I created, every click reloads the page and shows me the same page, but it screws with the text and somehow things seem to change.
4. Some of the anchors work fine in firefox, but the ones that I have the most problems with are all in the "Common Questions" tab. Also, I have links in other pages that link to the anchors in the "Common Questions", and they are also going to the right page, but the wrong place.

The url is:http://www.therapydoneright.com

I am testing the site in firefox and chrome by now... I haven't tested in IE yet ( I imagine it will be a nightmare)

Again, thanks for any help, thoughts and contributions....

Also, a quick one, just so I don't have to post about 6 questions. The favicon works great in chrome, but is not showing up in firefox. Any suggestions?

Soraya

1&2) Try to add the text-codes to be replaced with the anchor code by MassReplaceIt into the main TextBox. Can't see the styling issue but it sometimes happens with iWeb only solution would be rebuilding the page, clear all formattings by doing select all first and reapply stylings.
3) I don't know why it reloads the page. Never happened to me (doesn't happen on my Anchors page) but I guess that's part of why the anchors don't go to the right spot.
4) As said in 1&2 add the text-codes to be replaced with the anchor code into the main TextBox together with all the rest of the text

The favicon works for me in Firefox. You probably would have to empty cache and reload.

Hope it helps,
Cédric

Thanks so much Cédric...

For the most part, the problem is solved, there's only one anchor that doesn't work, which is located in the home page, right on top the "specialties" title... for some reason when I click on the link to the anchor (which is in the common questions page under the 'does seeing a psychologist mean I'm crazy?' question.) it takes me to an error 404... which I thought was kind of weird, I was wondering if it has to do with the fact that it is the home page... I don't know...

And still when I'm in the "Common questions" tab, once I click on a link that takes me to an anchor, for some reason when I scroll back up, it cuts a part of the header, and it happens in safari, firefox and chrome...

And one more thing, I don't know why, but every time I navigate through the page, there's a point where in the address bar I notice a bunch of slashes after the site, like this:

http://www.therapydoneright.com/site/// ... ntact.html

Can I do anything to correct that? it looks weird...

Again, thanks a bunch for all the help and the quick response... who would've thought this could be such a hassle!

Soraya.

Specialities doesn't show up as a link to me so no way for me to tell you where you went wrong.

If clicking a link shows a 404 status you most probably entered a wrong URL when you linked it.

I never experienced the header getting cut when hitting an anchor on one of my sites but I know from other people that this can happen in iWeb created sites. It must be something wrong in iWeb. Maybe you would have to change the page length in the Inspector? I have no clue. Unfortunately iWeb was built to build personal websites for grandma and grandpa and other members of the family and not to build professional websites. Which means it has limitations.

Have a nice day,
Cédric

Hey Cédric!
Good man, thanks so much for all the help... Actually the anchor in the home paga is still not working, I checked the link and as far as I can read, the link is spelled right...
One more thing I wanted to know though, I noticed that when I navigate through the pages, a bunch of slashes start appearing, and they accumulate in the address bar. Anything I can do to avoid that from happening?

Thanks a bunch for your help!!!

Soraya

Again, Specialities is not clickable to me. Hence it is not a link. Hence it can't lead anywhere. Hence there is no way for me to tell you where you went wrong! Hence I can't help! Hence nothing.

About the slashes: you did not follow the instructions I gave you on how to use the relative paths. I told you to use

Code:
../../Philosophy.html

you used

Code:
..//Philosophy.html

Good night,
Cédric

Hi there Cédric!
Sorry to insist with this... But the slashes keep appearing. This is how the code of the link looks like now:
Code:
<li><a href="../Resources.html" target="_top">Resources</a></li>

I tried eliminating the remaining slash and the dots, but then the links were broken, so I left them like that... I don't know what else to do...

Again, thanks so much for your input...

Soraya

 I never told you to use

Code:
<li><a href="../Resources.html" target="_top">Resources</a></li>

I told you to use

Code:
<li><a href="../../Resources.html" target="_top">Resources</a></li>

you may also use

Code:
/site/Resources.html

or

Code:
http://www.therapydoneright.com/site/Resources.html

I don't mind which of these three you use but please do use one of these three as I'km telling you.
