Hi, your site is exactly what iWeb needed, there's some really great information on here.

I wanted to add anchors to my iweb page. I followed your instructions to the letter. The annoying thing is the anchors work fine in firefox but safari keeps messing up which anchor it jumps to.

Have you got any thoughts to get around this please?

Hi Matt,

Unfortunately Safari handles the Anchors a bit differently than Firefox and there's no real way to fix that. Safari always passes the anchor for about two-three lines. The solution is to put the Anchor two-three lines before the actual point (move the TextBox with the code upwards). It will display right when visited in Safari and it will not look bad in Firefox either since it will display the anchor point (usually paragraph title) only two-three lines downwards from the top of the window looks good anyway...

To everyone who's struggled to get anchor links to work in Safari...

I was able to get anchors to work great in Safari by modifying the anchor target link.

Instead of simply having <a name="ANCHOR1"></a>

I modified it to:
<h2><a name="ANCHOR1"></a></h2>

And it works great in both Firefox and Safari.
