Hi, Cédric from Swiss,
Alain from Belgium!
At this moment I’m done with Mobile Me and with your good advice I have some space at Host Excellence. Thanks a zillion for your advice on your incredible site. Without this I was still living pre historic concerning site’s.
But It’s still all very mechanical to me so I go slowly and spend many many hours.
I already load one site via the FTP of iweb to Host excellence and it worked!
For my other site I go a step further and use Cyberduck

However I do have some questions.
When i go to cyberduck and open my webspace I see all my URL’s. (I already configured this)
To upload, I publish a site I created in iweb to a folder at the Mac’s desktop and via cyberduck I can grab this folder and place it at the right place in my space at HE.
The right place? I have a lot of place ;-) ? So do I have to grab the folder at the desktop and put it into the right URL?

But what about music? No quicktime anymore – I go all the way now!
For many hours I’m trying to get it done. Unfortunately it seems not to work!
So, I made a new folder on the desktop with mp3’s and the player.swf and audioplayer.js in it for the flash player. I grab this folder and via cyberduck I can upload it to my space at HE. Do I also have to upload this folder to the right place at my space? But again what is the right place at my space. All my URL’s will need those mp3’s incl flashplayer. Do I need to copy this musicfolder for every URL?

I know it must be very simple! After the first time done right!
Thanks again a lot in advance,

Yes. Publish to your desktop and you will see an index.html file and a folder with the name of the site. Take those two things and drop them in the folder on your server which is named with the url of the site.

Let's make an example.
You dropped your music (mp3s) into a folder called "music"
Now take this folder and drop it into the folder which has the url of your site on the server.

When you connect to the server you see a folder called "kristalan.com"
Now drop the folder called "music" into the "kristalan.com" folder
Let's say you have an mp3 called "song1.mp3"

The URL of this mp3 will be
http://kristalan.com/music/song1.mp3

If you want to link to that file from another website as well (ex. yourwebsite.org) you can link to it as
http://kristalan.com/music/song1.mp3
you don't need to upload it to yourwebsite.org too.

The "right place" on HostExcellence is the folder named with the url of the site. That's the root of the site. Pretty easy.

Regards,
Cédric
