I have been reading for the last two hours and can't find this subject anywhere so I am hoping you can help me.

I have designed my website with iWEb08 and have uploaded it to Netfirms as my server using Cyberduck. My website is http://www.vibrationalvoyages.com

There are three problems I am hoping you can help me with, oh my iWeb guru...

1. I have a 'Guided Meditations' page with MP3 recordings that I would like for visitors to be able to download, but when you click the 'subscribe' button, the icon loads into iTunes and doesn't play.

2. Then, there is the RSS subscribe button on the 'Snippets' page, and when you press that, you get this message on a new internet page: The requested URL /www.vibrationalvoyages.com/Snippets/rss.xml was not found on this server.

The address on the top of that page reads: http://www.vibrationalvoyages.com/www.v ... ts/rss.xml

There is a double address because of the way Netfirms has set up my site since Cyberduck loads things in a weird manner. (It doesn't synchronize the new pages if I only correct a typo or a link since the file size doesn't change. But, that's another problem for another day...)

3. On that same guided meditations page I spoke of in #1, on a windows based computer, the copy underneath the meditation and photo doesn't load until the entire recording loads. Is there any way to at least get the text to load first to give people something to look at while they are waiting?

Question 1 and 2 or actually the same.
The reason why the links don't work is in both cases those double-addresses

And that shouldn't have anything to do with how Netfirms work. That has something to do with how iWeb works.

The URL of a page made with iWeb is always
yourdomain.com/sitename/pagename.html

Podcast pages:
yourdomain.com/sitename/pagename/pagename.html

Blog pages:
yourdomain.com/sitename/pagename/pagename.html
for its RSS feed
yourdomain.com/sitename/pagename/rss.xml

In your case the URL of the Blog page's RSS feed reads
itpc://www.vibrationalvoyages.com/www.vibrationalvoyages.com/Guided_Meditations/rss.xml

which means that you called the site in iWeb "www.vibrationalvoyages.com" but you didn't upload the "www.vibrationalvoyages.com" folder to your server. You only uploaded the content of that folder so that the URL of the blog reads
http://www.vibrationalvoyages.com/Guide ... tions.html
instead of
http://www.vibrationalvoyages.com/www.v ... tions.html
hence without the /sitename/ or in your case /www.vibrationalvoyages.com/ part. However the RSS link needs that part to work. Hence you need to upload all files you get when publishing the site from iWeb to a folder.
The entire http://www.vibrationalvoyages.com folder (not just its content) and the index.html file outside of it.

It's a bad idea to call a website with its URL in iWeb since that causes that ugly duplication in the URL of the published site. In iWeb call the website "site" or something so that the url will read
http://yourdomain.com/site/pagename.html
instead of your current would-be
http://yourdomain.com/yourdomain.com/pagename.html


As for question 3 I think it's possible but I don't know how (certainly not in iWeb itself) and I think it's pretty complicated.

Cedric, thank you so much! I believe there's a chance I might have actually understood what I need to do next!

Your site has been most helpful as have you. Now, my next step is to go over and make a donation as a way of saying thank you that will put a pasta on your table with, perhaps, a nice bottle of wine or a wonderful dessert.

Then, the step afterwords is to try out the proper linking formula as you described.
