I have had my site up and running for 6+ months and an interesting problem started yesterday. I have two "blog" pages that allow people to comment on posts, as well as commenting on pictures in photo albums. Roughly two days ago iWeb stopped retrieving comments left on the websites. The comments can be viewed online but in the program "Checking for new comments" is continually greyed out as if it was checking yet never finishes the task.

Any ideas? Was this something I did somehow or a glitch in the program? I've left a question at apple support but have gotten no response. I appreciate any advice or help you could offer.

I never used MobileMe's comments hence I don't know.

You could try to deactivate the comments feature, publish, reactivate the comments and re-publish. However I don't kno whether it would solve your issu and I don't know whether the comments that are already posted will be preserved or not.

There's a different way to do comments? If it's more stable and not terribly hard to set up I'll look into that instead.

There was an excellent different way to add comments: Haloscan. Unfortunately it was then bought by JS-Kit. I hate the JS-Kit Comments. Anyway if you'd like to try them have a look at my Feedback comments and forms FAQ for instructions.
