I tried everything as you describe on the e-book but when I try to access to "www.mydomain.net/ccount" I get the 403 Forbidden message...

Another question: The code you give us to display the counter on one of our pages

<script language="Javascript" type="text/javascript" src="http://yourdomain.com/ccount/display.php"></script>
<span style="color:green;font-weight:bold"><script language="Javascript" type="text/javascript">ccount_display('13');</script></span>

is to insert on a HTML Snippet??

Thanks again for all the help

Hi,

if you can't access it it probably means that you either uploaded it to the wrong location or set wrong file permissions. Cyberduck, File, Info, Permissions, 755.

The code can either be put in an HTML Snippet or added with Alternative HTML.

Regards,
Cédric

Hi Cédric,

I think it was the wrong file permissons. To the ccount folder I have: "Permissions: rwx------ (700)" but I can't discover what i've done wrong...

how can I have or input the 755 permisson to the file? Can You help to solve this problem. I would love to use the download counter on my website...

Once again, thank you sincerly for the great e-book and all your work.

Best regards,
jorge

With permissions set to 700 it doesn't work for me either so must be the permissions.

Open Cyberduck, select the ccount folder, hit cmd+i, then type 755, choose Apply changes recursively and hit enter

The only files which need other permission set are clicks.txt and ids.txt (666) all other files should have 755.

Hope it helped,
Cédric
