Hello. Thanks for all your hard work and tips. I appreciate it!
I'm very familiar with StatCounter, etc. I've been using it for a while. But I've recently discovered MassReplaceIt. It's so much easier than MANUALLY entering in the StatCounter code to every site after I publish!!!!
However, I've spent a few hours trying to find a work-around for a problem. Maybe you have an idea:
After I publish, I will run my MassReplaceit to insert the Stat code into my 70 pages of my website. However, since iWeb doesn't publish every page of my site when I click "publish", MassReplaceIt is inserting TWO StatCounter codes into some of my pages! Therefore, when someone visits my pages, it shows up at TWO hits, etc.
Do you know how I can tell MassReplaceIt to ONLY replace code that doesn't have the Stat code already inserted???
Help!
Thanks, my friend!
Jarrett

Hi Jarrett,

Another way would be to use "2.3.1.a" of the page you posted the comment to. Thus having a textfield that says
"AddStatcounterHere" on each page and let MassReplaceIt search for "AddStatcounterHere" (It doesn't matter where you put the textfield to on the page). MassReplaceIt will then add the code only to those pages that have "AddStatcounterHere" written in their content which are only those pages that got published when you hit publish.

(It may seem to be a pain adding the textfield to each page but it isn't as you just have to do it on one, put the textfield into the footer of the page by hitting Command(Apple) while moving it around, then copy it, select another page hit Command(Apple)+v and the textfield will automatically go to footer same location as on the other page)

I'd go for that since that's how I do it myself.

In MassReplaceIt go to Mask click on "Add" "Search items whose:" select "Extension" From the other drop down menu select "is" and then type ".html" (without "") and click on "Add..." and select "All criteria, must be satisfied to search a file". Doing this speeds-up the process of searching.

Regards,
Cédric
