Reloading web data back into iWeb

I created a website for a friend using iWeb. When finished I published it to his web address/provider and then published it to a folder on my computer thinking this would be a backup of the site. I then deleted it from iWeb thinking I could reload the data if I needed to update the site and started working on another job. It appears to be not as simple as that and I can't figure out how to 'reload' the data from my published folder back into iWeb. I don't have a copy of the Domain file found in Application Support/iWeb. Anyone got any ideas?

To start a new project do not delete the one you have in iWeb. Instead duplicate the Domain file and start the other project.

So I basically have to redo the site - no other options?
