Hi, I am moving to a new computer and am trying to transfer all my iweb files. i found information on this site very helpful until it told me to change the ownership and permissions preference in the "get info" for my domain.sites file. it said that i would have to change the owner to "everyone" but "everyone" is not an option, neither is my new username. what to do?
thanks

IN older versions of Mac OS X "everyone" used to be called "other" so if you have "other" then set that to "read & write" if you don't have "everyone" not have "other" than just set all the choices you have to "read & write".

I'm also trying to transfer an iweb website to another mac. I tried to follow these instructions to change the permissions of the Domain file. However when I selected Domain, nothing happened when I pressed Command(Apple)+i. I can't find a window where I can change the Ownership & Permissions. Thanks for any help!

Select the file, go to File=>Get Info
at the very bottom of the Info window there's Sharing&Permissions

Cédric

Thank you. Per your instructions, I was able to get info. Under Sharing & Permissions, the only thing it says is "You have custom access". There are no choices offered to select. Is there anyway around this? When I transfer this file to another iMac, and then publish the website, everything looks normal except that the navigation bar does not show up.
