I have looked at a lot of the websites listed here. Now it is my turn to put my efforts out for comment. I have taken on the task of web design for the Voyageur Brigade Society. Last year 16 voyageur North Canoes travelled from Rocky Mountain House in Alberta, Canada, to Thunder Bay in Ontario, Canada: a distance of 3,300 kilometres over a period of 63 days. Wanting more of these adventurous brigades paddlers formed this society to promote canoeing in big canoes. Promotion of future brigade paddling is the purpose of this site. The 2011 David Thompson Columbia Brigade is a section within the main site. Parts of the site have some depth.
I want to know how easy it is to negotiate the site and discover information about the 2011 brigade.
I am considering sound on the home page- paddling sounds.
I am interested in errors that you find and in ideas to make the site more interesting/arresting. I am considering replacement of the iWeb navigation bar at the top for a custom made one similar to some of the other sample sites. If you have advice on buttons that change colour or have an arrow that indicates which page is being viewed that would be great.
You can be a little bit ruthless with your comments since my goal is to get a better site. Even if I don't always take the advice, it will get me thinking.[/i]http://voyageurbrigade.org
